Posted November 12, 2013

— Firefighters shut down part of downtown Durham Tuesday after a gas leak near the Durham School of the Arts.

A spokeswoman for PSNC Energy said a third-party contractor struck a 2-inch gas line at 1002 Monmouth Ave., near Gregson Street.

PSNC crews were able to shut off the leak and were working to repair the line early Tuesday afternoon.

Roads in the area were temporarily closed.

    Quick, someone light a match!!
    Obamacare for one and all
This is one of the most callous comments yet you have made. The possibility of death to innocent people in a gas explosion is not humorous in the least. Surprising what the WRAL censors will stop and will let post..
