RALEIGH, N.C. — Police have reopened Leesville Road after a gas leak late Friday.

Road workers resurfacing the road near the construction site of a new school accidentally cut a gas line, officials said. Traffic had been rerouted near the intersection of Leesville and Norwood Roads.

Crews capped the gas leak around midnight and started cleaning up the scene.

No injuries were reported.
