GARNER, N.C. — Police have asked for the public's help in solving the armed robbery of an Exxon convenience store Tuesday night.

Two men entered G-Exxon, 1305 U.S. Highway 70 West, at 11:30 p.m., police said.

Surveillance video shows the men pulling out handguns and pointing them at the clerk. The clerk pulled out the cash register drawer and let them take money out of it.

The robbers fled the scene on foot, and no one was injured in the robbery.

Garner police said the robbery appears to be related to others in Wake County over the past few weeks.

Officers described one robber as a Hispanic man, between 18 and 25 years old, standing 5 feet 7 or 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing between 185 and 200 pounds.

The second man was described as a Hispanic man, between 26 and 30 years old, standing 5 feet 9 or 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call Investigator Grant Davis at 919-722-8810.
