Garner police catch suspect fleeing pawn shop burglary

— Garner police officers responding to a breaking and entering call at a pawn shop early Wednesday said they caught the suspect running away from the store.

The officers pulled up to Arrow Pawn at 731 W. U.S. Highway 70 about 1:30 a.m. and said they saw a man running away. Officers quickly captured him with the help of Bear, a police dog.

Daishaun K. Brown, 22, of the first block of Nancy Court in Clayton, is charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny.

    I hope that dog got a big chunk out of that guys leg. Now we need to test the dog for HIV.

    Now if Bear could also respond to domestic dispute calls maybe the Garner Police would actually arrest domestic abusers.
