— A Garner man faces charges that he sexually abused a child younger than 13 years old, according to arrest warrants.

Brian Keith Lada, 32, of 5620 Raynor Road, was charged Wednesday with five counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of first-degree sexual offense with a child.

Warrants state that the alleged abuse occurred from June 2009 until July of this year.

Lada was placed in the Wake County jail under a $1 million bond.

He has convictions from the late 1990s for two counts of assault inflicting serious injury and one count each of simple assault and receiving stolen goods, according to state Department of Correction records.

@fayncmike you did not answer my question. since you want to be rude and a know it all. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF IT YOUR CHILD? you must not have any. Futher more yes so far I DO KNOW FOR A FACT the recent ones in the new have been found guilty. If I am wrong please tell me who it was and when. So watch what you say. Lastly I know that he has to go through the court system 1st be stones have are thrown so stop throwing them my way. I was just wondering why you want to defend just him and not the child in anyway. but hey it's just my observation of the comments it was not meant to offend anyone.

I REALIZE THAT PEOPLE ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY BUT WHEN YOU HAVE A LONG RUNNING RECORD AND YOU ARE CHARGED WITH 6 COUNTS OF ABUSE. THERE IS REALLY NO OTHER WAY TO FIND HIM EXCEPT GUILTY.

Sue in NC... you would think that these types of offenders would get a harsher punishment but sadly, they don't. As a mother of a child who was sexually abused , it INFURIATES me when I hear about this. And like my circumstance, my child was 6 and the SOB being 20, the joke called probation will most likely be his punishment. And to acarden0507, you say that he is "innocent until proven guily" and you are right, but would you say that if it was your child or family member who was the victim?!?!?! Then you can sit back and "wait" until the are found guilty!

So true, if he is found guilty in a court of law this would be a perfect reason to use the death penalty.

"Why are so many of you taking up for this man? We may not have all the facts but so far anyone who has been accused, arrested, and put on the news it has so far turned out to be true.

Because sir, he is no more guilty of child molestation than you are. He is as pure and innocent as the driven snow. Do you want to know how I can make such a statement? It's very simple. Until he's tried and convicted he is totally innocent. He may be guilty or he may not but one thing is for sure. His trial, if it comes to a trial will be held in a courtroom, not in the media and for sure not in this forum.

rbbagwell4-You are incorrect not everyone that has been charged with sex crimes has been convicted. It's real easy for someone to get a charge brought if you know the right things to say.

If you put the person away he never gets help with our system. He just goes to where he will learn more perversion. It's a lost cause with humans. These things are just going to happen. Keep your kids in sight.

A lost miss-guided soul. Every one does not have values ground into them during their life. Yes, mental problems. And if you can come to understand how someone comes to this and you can spread this understanding we can do something about these behaviors . But our system won't teach the subjects ,, just the three Rs times ten to the twelfth.

Why are so many of you taking up for this man? We may not have all the facts but so far anyone who has been accused, arrested, and put on the news it has so far turned out to be true. He is a man with a serious problem and those who defend him are allowing him to go on believing it is okay. All sexual predators have mental problems and will never change. Cause it is a known fact once it starts they can not stop. you all are forgetting this happened to a child, someone who needed our protection and love. not an adult who understood what they were getting themselves into or two kids. So far the only intelligent comments on this page has been about protecting the child, and for those who scream "we r not the law or don't take justice into our own hands" don't know the real world. just this it could have been your kid then how would you feel?

"IF THAT WERE MY CHILD, HE WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MAKING IT TO THE PRISON.
    agglover"

And guess what? You'd take his place in prison and most likely for a lot longer time then he would have served, which is as it should be.

Regardless of if the court system works every time or not, we're a nation of laws. We do not take justice into our own hands. Those who do are guilty of the worst sort of crime.
