Garner man accused of breaking into multiple homes

A Garner man is accused of breaking into residences and stealing laptop computers, purses, wallets and bottles of wine, according to arrest warrants.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Garner man is accused of breaking into residences and stealing laptop computers, purses, wallets and bottles of wine, according to arrest warrants.

Vasily Austin Erwin, 21, of Willow Vista Road, was arrested after authorities said he broke into four homes in Raleigh on Thursday and a group home in Garner on Wednesday.

The residences in Raleigh were on Dell Brook Court, Plam Bay Circle, Fawn Hill Court and Meadow Mist Court, arrest warrants state.

Nothing was taken from the group home break-in on Creech Road in Garner, arrest warrants state.

Erwin faces one breaking and entering charge and four counts of first-degree burglary and four counts of larceny after breaking and entering.

He was being held Saturday in the Wake County jail under a $1,500,000 bond. He is due in court Monday.
