Garner crews douse house fire

— Emergency crews in Garner put out a house fire Wednesday morning at 8213 Bryan Road.

The fire started just before 3 a.m. There was no word on what caused it.

Authorities said they believe it is an abandoned house. Wake County bought the land last year, according to tax records.

    "Garner crews douse house fire"

    The word 'douse' might be appropriate. But it just doesn't sound right. Makes it sound like the Good'ole Garner Fire Department was working hard throwing their buckets of water on the fire.
