Garner center to feature "Charlotte's Web" in March

Posted January 1, 2013

The Garner Performing Arts Center will bring in a New York-based theater troupe to stage "Charlotte's Web" in March.

Theatreworks USA, the country's largest and most prolific professional not-for-profit theater for young and family audiences, will bring the classic story by E.B. White to life in an hour-long show on at 11 a.m., March 9. That's a Saturday.

Theatreworks' website recommends the show for kids in kindergarten to grade 5. Check out its website for more information, including a study guide.

I have not seen this show, but I've seen a few by Theatreworks and have been impressed by the talent and professionalism. My kids have always enjoyed them. Theatreworks is no stranger to the Triangle. They also have performed at N.C. State's kids series, which is on hold this year, and Johnston Community College, among other places in the region.
