DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters responded to a large house fire in Durham on Sunday.

Around 9 p.m., officials with the Durham Fire Department responded to a home located at 11 Duxford Court. According to officials, multiple callers reported the fire, which had fully engulfed the home when crews arrived.

Officials said the fire was under control in about 30 minutes, but the entire home was severely damaged. The fire melted siding on the homes to the left and right but did not damage the insides.

"My neighbor's house is going up in flames tonight," said Buddy Cannady, who posted a video of the fire on Facebook and took numerous photos of the flames. "Please pray for him."

The owner was home and reported that the fire started in the garage. The fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
