RALEIGH, N.C. — A celebration was held Wednesday night for a local group that helps women look great on the outside and feel good on the inside.
Dress for Success held its annual gala at the Pavilion at the Angus Barn. The organization provides job training, a support network, professional attire and more.

Eleven thousand women in the Triangle have been helped by the organization since 2008 including Angie Beatty, a veteran and professor who found difficulty finding a job when she moved to North Carolina.

“During that process, self-confidence takes a little bit of a beating, so I went to Dress for Success because it’s an organization that focuses on women’s needs. I found that it nurtures the whole person,” Beatty said.

Wednesday night’s gala raised money but Dress for Success also takes donations of women’s clothing and is always looking for volunteers.
