— A Fuquay-Varina 17-year-old was charged with three felony sex offenses in connection with incidents reported in February and March.

Zachary Sean Ihler, of 909 Sequoia Ridge Drive, is charged with second-degree forcible rape, second-degree forcible sex offense and attempted second-degree forcible rape, according to arrest warrants.

The incidents occurred on Feb. 25 and March 11, arrest warrants said. Wake County district officials said Ihler is a junior at Fuquay-Varina High School.

According to the warrants, two separate 16-year-old females were involved in each incident.

Iher's attorney said his client and father cooperated with police ans spoke to detectives freely after the first allegation.

"Mr. Ihler did not deny that there were amorous intentions, but that when she asked him to stop, he did stop," Ihler's attorney Mike Klinkosum said.

In the second case, the victims claims that Ihler pulled her behind a bus parking area at Fuquay-Varina High School after a baseball game and put his hand down her pants.

"She reported that she was fighting him off physically and verbally telling him no and he persisted in his actions," said prosecutor Meredith Parris.

Klinkosum said Tuesday that the victim did not report the incident but told a friend instead.

"She did not report this to anyone at school; she did not report it to law enforcement or a family member," Klinkosum said.

‚ÄčOn Tuesday, Judge Vince Rozier modified Ihler's bond from $500,000 to $200,000 in addition to electronic house arrest. Ihler was due to make his first court appearance on Tuesday.

    A. This young man is considered innocent until (and unless) proven guilty.

    B. Although "common wisdom" asserts that girls and women often make false claims of rape and other sexual assault, studies that I have seen indicate that false reports of rape are made at about the same rate as false reports of murder, arson, and other felonies: 2%.

    C. False reports of rape and other kinds kinds of sexual assaults are inexcusable.

    D. Rape and other kinds of sexual assaults are inexcusable.

    E. Assuming that all people who are charged with a crime are guilty is unjust.

    F. Assuming that all people who report a crime are lying is unjust.

    G. There are many reasons why survivors of rape and other kinds of sexual assault are reluctant to report the crimes done to them. Hesitation or unwillingness to go to authorities should not be seen as a sign of dishonesty.

    H. Studies by social scientists and law enforcement agencies are better sources of information than TV and movies.

You are kidding when you accuse women/girl victims of being coached, right? Are you that ignorant?

I am glad you are starting to understand Chris. There is a whole lot not being said in this incident which leads to a whole lot of interpretation and speculation. Girls are coached to have "buyer's remorse." An accusation on a sexual offense is an easy thing to do in Wake County, no telling what the actual facts are. if this goes the way I think it will I hope he gets a good civil attorney. Do note, that the accusation was not from a minor. There are going to be many layers when this onion is peeled.

Funny, this kid, a 17 year old has his picture and name posted on the news for rape, while the three girls who murdered someone in a bathroom up north are 'protected because they're minors'.
