— A 28-year-old man was charged late Tuesday in the shooting death of his 64-year-old stepfather, Fuquay-Varina police said.

Officers responding to a home at 108 Coley Farm Road Tuesday afternoon found James Melvin Jolly dead.

Richard Brandon Gregory was arrested and charged with first-degree murder Tuesday evening, police said. Investigators have not released a possible motive for the shooting, but they said officers were responding to a domestic violence incident.

Gregory was in the Wake County jail Wednesday morning awaiting his first court appearance. His bond information was not available.

Jolly lived in the house with his family, but it wasn't clear whether they were home when he was shot.

So much ignorance going on in our society . And the government cares naught.. And it's doubtful if they ever will because they are ignorant too.

So sad. That's not the best area of that town, but looks like it wasn't related to bad neighbors.
