FREMONT, N.C. — The three young people killed in a single-car crash in Wayne County Sunday night will be mourned by family and friends this week.

Troopers said Joshua Leon Brantley, 25, Ashley Nicole Haskins, 18, and Jacob Allen Floars, 17, died at the scene of the wreck on N.C. Highway 222 east of Fremont.

Mark Aaron Pope, 17, who was driving, survived the wreck. He was the only one wearing a seat belt, troopers said. He was in serious condition Tuesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Troopers said Pope was driving about 80 mph on N.C. Highway 222. The speed limit there is 55 mph.

Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont is handling arrangements for all three.

Brantley and Floars' funerals were scheduled for Wednesday, at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, in the funeral home chapel at 102 North Pine St.

Haskins' funeral is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. in the same location.
