CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has established a memorial fund in the name of its slain student body president, Eva Marie Carson.

The Eve Marie Carson Memorial Fund is &quot;to celebrate and remember Carson's love for the university and its students,&quot; according to a statement posted on the university Web site.

Donations can be made online at giving.unc.edu/gift by choosing a giving option and selecting the fund under University Fund. Checks made payable to UNC-Chapel Hill with &quot;Eve Marie Carson Memorial Fund&quot; in the memo line can be mailed to:
