Clear skies, chilly temps will start off the work week
Sunday's blast of cold air will warm up by the start of the work week - but not by much.

Regional temperatures will peak in the low 50s at midday Sunday, after hitting overnight lows in the mid-20s.
"We were a lot colder than we had been back on Friday," WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss said. "It only got up to 51 degrees at the Raleigh-Durham airport Saturday, and we had about a 10 to 15 mph wind to go along with the chilly temperatures."
A high pressure system that rolled into the area over the weekend is moving south, leaving warmer, dry air behind.
"There are a few patchy, high clouds here and there," Moss said. "But it will be a bright day overall."
Monday's high is expected to warm to 62 degrees as a frontal boundary moves in from the west.
"There will be very few clouds tomorrow," Moss said. "They will be rolling in to the area on Tuesday."
Those clouds bring a chance of showers.
The rest of the week will see highs in the mid-50s and lows mostly in the 30s.
