Friday Freebies: Tons of Veterans Day freebies!

In honor of Veterans Day, many companies are offering freebies or discounts on Sunday and Monday. You'll find discounts and freebies from grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and more! My great thanks to all who have served in our military and all who are currently serving.

Before we get to the very long list of freebies, I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the men and women who have served in the United States military (including my dad) and those who are still serving! I deeply appreciate your service to our country!

In honor of Veterans Day, many companies are offering freebies or discounts on Sunday and Monday. As with all freebies like this, it is a good idea to call ahead to see if your restaurant or store is a participating location.

Some locations are offering deals on Sunday, some are offering them on Monday and some are offering them on both days. I have divided the deals out by day and then alphabetically. Please share any other Veterans Day deals you find! Enjoy!

Deals for Sunday, November 11, 2012

Applebee’s: On November 11, veterans and active duty military will receive a free Signature Entrée from a special menu. Proof of military service will need to be shown. Dine-in only at participating restaurants. There are a number of good looking entrees available including steak, chicken, shrimp, pasta and more. Click HERE for all the details.
California Pizza Kitchen: On November 11 or November 12, veterans and active duty military will receive a free pizza from their menu and a non-alcoholic drink. Done in only. Please come in uniform or bring your military ID or proof of service. Click HERE for all the details.
Chili’s: Veterans and active duty military will receive a free meal from a menu of seven options. On November 11, 2012 from 11am – 5pm at participating locations with proof of military service. Dine-in only. Beverages and gratuity not included.
Dollar General: Veterans and Active duty military receive an 11% discount off your total purchase on 11/11 in –stores and online from 11/8 – 11/11. Not combinable with some sale items. Not valid on some items including gift cards, lottery, alcohol and more. Click HERE for all the details.
Food Lion: From their Facebook page: “Active & retired military receive 12% off their shopping order when they show their military ID and MVP Card on Sunday, November 11.” Click HERE for all the details.
Great American Cookies: On November 11, veterans and active duty military will receive a free regular cookie of their choice with military ID or proof of service. Click HERE for all the details.
Harris Teeter: On November 11, veterans and active duty military personnel will receive 11% off your purchase with form of military ID and VIC card. Excludes alcohol, tobacco, gift cards and tickets. Click HERE for all the details.
Hooters: On November 11, veterans and active duty military will receive 10 free boneless wings with drink purchase. Military ID or proof of service will need to be shown. Click HERE for all the details.
Krispy Kreme: Veterans and active military personnel will receive a free doughnut and small coffee at participating U.S. Krispy Kreme store on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11. Click HERE for all the details.
Longhorn Steakhouse: Veterans and active-duty military receive a complimentary Texas Tonion and non-alcoholic beverage with proof of service.
Mccormick and Schmicks: Free meal from special menu for veterans on 11/11/12 with official verification. Dine in only. Click HERE for all the details.
Olive Garden: On November 11, veterans and active duty military will receive a free entrée including one of the following: Unlimited soup and salad, Seafood Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiani, Grilled Sausage & Peppers Rustica, Cheese Ravioli or Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. Outback: Free Bloomin Onion and a Coke product on either November 11 or November 12 with ID. Here are the details from their website:
“The FREE Bloomin’ Onion® and Coca-Cola® promotion is open to Military Personnel who have one of the following forms of identification on November 11 & 12, 2012. U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW), DD214 Certificate, Veteran Identification Card (VIC), Photograph in U.S. Uniform or wearing U.S. Uniform. The FREE beverage will be customer’s choice of any Coca-Cola® product. Sweet Tomatoes: From their blog: “Past and present military can receive a free meal this Sunday and Monday, November 11 and 12th with the purchase of another regular priced meal. Just show proof of military service or be in uniform. Click HERE for all the details.
Walgreens: Veterans and active duty military receive 20% off Walgreens and W brand store brand items and 15% off other products on Sunday, November 11 with valid ID or proof of service. There are some exclusions so check with your store about them (they include alcohol and tobacco). Click HERE for all the details.

Deals for Monday, November 12, 2012

Denny’s: Active, inactive and retired military can enjoy free All You Can Eat pancakes from 6 am – 2 pm on Monday, November 12. Must show military ID or proof of service. Dine-in only. Beverage not included. Click HERE for all the details.
Golden Corral: On Monday, November 12, any person who has served in the US Military (retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard or Reserves) will receive a free dinner from 4 pm – 9 pm. No ID required. Dine-in only. Click HERE for all the details.
Little Ceaser’s Pizza: Free Crazy bread to veterans and active military with proof of service at participating stores.
O’Charley’s: Veterans and active duty military will receive a free meal from the $9.99’er menu on Monday, 11/12 with military ID or proof of service. Click HERE for all the details.

Sheetz: Veterans and active duty military will be served a free hot dog lunch on Monday November 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at all Sheetz locations throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina. The free lunch includes two free hot dogs with toppings and a 22-ounce fountain drink. Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch for veterans and active duty military on Monday, November 12. You can choose from the special Veteran’s menu with options including steak, chicken, pork chops, cheeseburger, chicken salad, bbq chicken and more! Also included is choice of soda, tea or coffee. Texas Steakhouse and Saloon: From their Facebook page: “On Monday, in honor of our Veterans, we will give a free meal to any military member with a valid ID & encourage everyone to donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project through your bill!” Click HERE for all the details.
T.G.I. Friday’s: Free lunch for veterans on Monday, November 12 from 11 am – 2 pm with valid military ID. Click HERE for all the details.
Lowes Home Improvement and Home Depot: A few sites have mentioned that Lowes and Home Depot will be offering a 10% discount for veterans and active military. No info on their websites, so call ahead to make sure.
