RALEIGH, N.C. — Denali Moose Tracks Ice Cream will donate $1 per scoop of ice cream given away during a special event in downtown Raleigh on Tuesday to The Salvation Army.
The 10K Scoops event is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, in Moore Square, 200 S. Blount St., in downtown Raleigh, across from Marbles Kids Museum. The ice cream company is running similar 10K Scoops Challenges in other cities across the country.

Denali Flavors developed the popular Moose Tracks flavor of ice cream. The company is working with PET Dairy to host Tuesday's giveaway.

The goal is to give away 10,000 scoops to raise $10,000 for Salvation Army programs. During the event, you also can tweet #10KScoops for a chance to win free ice cream for a year from Denali.
