Free haircuts at JC Penney for breast cancer survivors

Posted October 4, 2012

During the month of October, which happens to be National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, JC Penney is offering FREE haircuts to breast cancer survivors!  They will also donate $1 for every free hair cut they give, up to $50,000, to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  Click HERE for more details on the JC Penney website.

I think that JC Penney is giving back in a wonderful way by offering the free haircuts and making up to a $50,000 donation!  Cancer has taken many of my family members including my mom and grandfather, but I am happy to share that my cousin is beating breast cancer. Her radiation was finished in mid-August and she is in remission! Go Lori!

Well said, watchhillgirl. I know my mom felt the same way when her hair grew back after chemo.

I think it is a wonderful thing to do for survivors. I can tell you from experience, that when you have lost your hair. Once you get it back...you will never complain about a "bad hair day" again. A wonderful thing to give back.

The absolute worst haircut I have ever had was from a J C Penny salon. I am certainly not condemning every J C Penny salon, or the stylists employed by them, but trust your instincts. I had a bad feeling about the stylist who was to work on my hair, but I ignored it and left very dissatisfied.
