Free coed field hockey clinic offered for kids

Posted July 18, 2013

As a former field hockey player, I feel compelled to share the following information:

i9 Sports of South Wake will offer a free field hockey clinic for boys and girls ages 6 to 12 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Aug. 3. They'll learn the basics of this great sport that needs a much bigger presence here in the Triangle (yes, I'm biased) like shooting, dribbling and passing.

Participants need to bring shin guards, a mouth piece and water bottle. Registration also will be available for the league's fall field hockey season, which starts Sept. 29 in Cary.

For details and to register, go to www.i9sports.com or contact Becky Wright, the field hockey coordinator, at bwright@i9sports.com.

Field hockey!

Hmmm karmstr9 ... I'm sorry about the confusion. Email Becky (her email is in the post). She's the one who told me about it.
