FRANKLINTON, N.C. — A Franklinton bank that was robbed on Feb. 26 was robbed again Thursday morning, police said.

A man dressed in black walked into the First Citizens Bank branch at 101 N. Main St., shortly after 11 a.m., displayed a dark-colored handgun and demanded money, police said. He was last seen running north from the bank.

No injuries were reported, police said.

It's unclear if Thursday's robbery was connected to last month's holdup, but security photos from both crimes depict a robber dressed in black and carrying a black bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Franklinton Police Department at 919-494-2151.
