— Franklin County Public Utilities crews have located and isolated a water leak affecting the system's customers, officials said Wednesday.

The system asked water customers early Wednesday to initiate emergency conservation measures because of a possible leak. Public Utilities Director Bryce Mendenhall said he expects no loss of service, adding that repairs should be complete by late afternoon.

Anyone with questions can call Franklin County Public Utilities at 919-556-6177.

Initiate emergency conservation efforts? We already are Bryce! Your sorry county has had us on mandatory water restrictions since the 2007 summer drought because your system can't handle anymore growth, yet you continue to approve new subdivisions.
