LOUISBURG, N.C. — The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has put hundreds of pictures online to help people recover items stolen in a string of burglaries in three counties.

Deputies arrested Scottie Joe Hunter, 35, of 100 Perry Lane in Zebulon, late Monday after a search of his home turned up a cache of stolen goods.

Franklin County Sheriff Jerry Jones said the items are linked to burglaries in Franklin, Wake and Johnston counties as far back as 2008.

Investigators spent most of Tuesday cataloging the items and have put hundreds of photos of watches, jewelry, guns, power tools, flat-screen televisions, stereos, toys and other items on the sheriff's office website.

Jones said procedures are in place to ensure that anyone claiming items is the rightful owner.

Hunter has been charged with 28 counts of breaking and entering and 12 counts of larceny in Franklin County and one count each of felony larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny of a motor vehicle in Wake County.
