LITTLETON, N.C. — Halifax County authorities have arrested the fourth suspect in a drug-related home invasion in which two other suspects were shot.

Rodney Lee Miles Jr., 21, of Gaston, was charged Wednesday in connection with the Dec. 22 home invasion in which Ricardo Harley, 20, died.

Authorities say that several armed men burst into a Littleton home at night, and the resident fired back, killing Harley and wounding Kayman Northington, 41. Harley was wearing body armor.

Miles, Northington, Rynel Tyreek Gaines, 24, and Deunta Quamae Squire, 22, have all been charged with first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. They were each given separate $200,000 bonds and scheduled to appear in court Feb. 1.

Investigators said the resident was protecting himself and will not be charged.
