FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Emergency crews were able to rescue four people and two dogs Sunday afternoon after their boat overturned in Lake Rim in Fayetteville.

Calls to 911 reported the boat capsized at about 12:30 p.m. about 300 yards from shore, authorities said.

Six rescue swimmers went into the water to help the people until a Fire Department rescue boat could be launched, according to authorities. Two adults, two children and two dogs were brought to shore, and paramedics checked them all out and determined everyone was fine.
