Authorities have released the names of two men and two women who died when their car crashed into a house east of Sanford early Saturday.

Aaron David Powers, 31, of Sanford, Katherine May Powers, 35, of Sanford, Christopher Gray Baker, 33, of Broadway, and Rebecca Lynn Powell, 38, of Chapin, S.C., died in the wreck in the 600 block of Swanns Station Road, near Dixie Farm Road, around 2:30 a.m.

Aaron and Katherine Powers had been married for seven years and had three children, relatives said Saturday. Baker and Powell also left behind children.

State troopers said Aaron Powers was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger at least 90 mph when it ran off the left side of the road and hit a mailbox and trees. It then overturned several times, crashed into the house and burst into flames.

Authorities said that the bodies were burnt so badly that the medical examiner might not be able to perform toxicology tests. None of the passengers were wearing seat belts.

The house was vacant.

And another thing i just saw the guidelines about commebts and some of these should be removed there is no need to have things saying that when families is in a grieving state

Some blame the poor deer, or the condition of the weather; when they know full well it was the driver speeding over the limit going 70 to 90 miles per hour. When are we going to stop making excuses and start with solutions to the problems?

MAKING EXCUSES OF ALL KINDS NEVER SOLVES THE PROBLEM; DOES IT? DRINKING AND DRIVING DOES NOT AND WILL NEVER MIX. WHEN WILL THE DRINKERS WAKE UP AND REALIZE THIS BEFORE THEY TAKE A LIFE THEY WILL REGRET DOING.

People drink and then drive because alcohol is toxic and impairs

BUT THEY KNOW THEY HAVE BEEN DRINKING YET REFUES TO LISTEN TO OTHERS TO NOT DRIVE. BUT MY QUESTION IS: WHY GET INTO A VEHICLE WHEN YOU KNOW CLEARLY THE DRIVER HAS BEEN DRINKING? DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR OWN LIFE? NEVER RIDE WITH A DRIVER WHO IS DRINKING. CALL SOMEONE TO COME AND PICK YOU UP.

,,the fog was so bad,

Thats why you slow down in certain conditions instead of speeding. See it all the time.
