Four injured in three-car wreck in Cary

Four people were injured Saturday morning in a three-car wreck on Walnut Street in Cary, police said.

CARY, N.C. — Four people were injured Saturday morning in a three-car wreck on Walnut Street in Cary, police said. 

Officers responded to the intersection of Walnut Street and Sturdivant Drive at about 11:30 a.m. after a car crossed the center turn lane, side-swiped another car and a hit another vehicle head-on. 

Cary police said the driver of the car that crossed into oncoming traffic had a seizure prior to the wreck.

No life-threatening injuries were reported in the crash, although four people were taken to the hospital. Four lanes of the road were closed while crews responded to the crash. 

The road was expected to reopen at about 1 p.m.
