ANGIER, N.C. — Four people were injured during a wreck on N.C. Highway 210 at Sweetbriar Road Saturday evening, the Johnston County Highway Patrol said.

Around 5:30 p.m., an SUV traveling east on N.C. Highway 210 rear ended another vehicle.

The SUV, driven by 71-year-old Frank Killian, then swerved off the road to the right, before re-entering the road and crossing left of center. The SUV then hit a car heading west, trooper said.

The car, driven by Holly Daye, went airborne and hit a tree. The vehicle stopped upside down on the side of the road.

The vehicle contained two other passengers – Vickie Daye, and 3-year-old Joshua Allen, who was in the backseat without a child restraint, troopers said.

Holly Daye, who was not wearing a seat belt, and Vickie Daye, were each pinned in the vehicle.

Holly Daye was airlifted to WakeMed Hospital and was listed in good condition late Saturday, hospital officials said.

Vickie Daye and Joshua were transported to WakeMed with minor injuries. The driver of the rear-ended vehicle was also treated for minor injuries at WakeMed.

Killian was transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers said Killian was charged with failure to reduce speed.

Holly Daye will be charged with a seat belt violation and for not properly restraining the child.
