Four displaced by fire at Fayetteville duplex

Four people were displaced early Saturday after fire damaged a duplex on Dashland Drive, Fayetteville Fire Department officials said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Four people were displaced early Saturday after fire damaged a duplex on Dashland Drive, Fayetteville Fire Department officials said. 

Emergency crews responded to the 1700 block of Dashland Drive shortly after 6:30 a.m., finding a single-story duplex engulfed in fire and smoke. 

The fire was contained to one unit of the duplex, but four adults were displaced from the other apartment. No injuries were reported, and the Red Cross was assisting those displaced.

The cause of the fire has not been released.

No other information was immediately available.
