Four charged in double fatal Bladen County home invasion
ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has charged four people in connection with a fatal home invasion that happened Saturday.

Arrested are Tamara Rashonia McKoy, 30, and Erin Victoria Pridgen, 29. Both are currently in Bladen County jail charged with first-degree murder and are being held under no bond. They are scheduled to make a first court appearance Thursday.

Authorities are still searching for Africa Zachariah Shipman, 35, and Elijah Bruce Brown III, 37, who are also charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities said their investigation of the home invasion began Saturday night when Gregory Skinner, 38, was dropped off outside the emergency entrance of Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville by a private vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

At about the same time, the Bladen County Communications center received a call of shots fired and a home being struck by stray bullets near 735 Jacobs Loop Road. Deputies went to the address and found Donwia Wayne Griffith, 38, dead inside.

Authorities said that Skinner and several other people conspired to go to the Griffith residence and rob him. During the course of the robbery, shots were fired and both Griffith and Skinner were struck.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office at 910-862-6960.
