Four charged in Cumberland Co. break-ins

— Four men charged already jailed in Hoke County for break-ins saw Cumberland County pile on additional charges Wednesday.

According to the charges, the four broke into two homes on July 8, then tried to sell the electronics they took at a Hope Mills pawn shop.

All four are charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.

The suspects are:

  • Vernon Allen Lucas, 30, of 5505 Dylan Court in Hope Mills
  • Brandon David Bunce, 24, of 6228 Lake Trail Drive in Fayetteville
  • Christopher David Leroy Jones, 19, of 2083 Baywater Drive in Fayetteville
  • Nathan Brandon Ivey, 24, no address given.

    It is not even funny but I strongly believe that the first guy Vernon Lucas was a classmate of mine. The name sounds really familiar and the face is vaguely familiar as well. It's amazing how the people you go to school with and then years later you read about them committing crimes. This is not the first classmate that has been in trouble with the law and I doubt if it will the last one.

    Is it just me or was the first sentence of the story awkwardly written? Like real awkward. Im not going to win any Pulitzers, but thats just bad.

    On a side note, sweet facial tat on Bunce. It just oozes awesome.
