Four arrested after Fayetteville police chase

Three passengers in the car were also taken into custody.

Terrance Justin Holmes, 21, was charged with fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, driving while license revoked, reckless driving, providing fictitious information to law enforcement officers and driving while impaired, police said Tuesday.

Holmes had outstanding failure-to-appear warrants on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, assault on a female and injury to real property.

A patrol officer observed a 1997 Honda Accord, being driven erratically, around 3:30 a.m., police said. While the officer was speaking with Holmes and his three passengers, Holmes allegedly sped away, leading police on a chase through Harnett County, Spring Lake, Fort Bragg and back to Fayetteville.

The car eventually ran out of gas on Bragg Boulevard, and all four occupants were arrested, police said.

Jalisa Janee McCoy, 22, was cited on a charge of possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle; Tiffany Lashaun Lee, 23, was cited on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon; and Jerome Wayne Jones Jr., 21, was cited on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Those three have been released. Holmes was being held Tuesday at the Cumberland County jail on a $143,400 bond.
