People needs to slow down and observe the rules of the roads. I sure hope all will be OK and back home soon.

Just a note. If the SUV had a chance to avoid the accident and did not, they could be held a fault as well. I have seen many cars speed up instead of slow down to avoid an accident. Or, the light could have been turning yellow for the SUV and now the cars have to turn to get out of the intersection, yet the SUV did not stop and should have. I think I will wait until the investigation is complete before I decide who is at fault.....

The WRAL TV news this morning said the cars were turning left when the "Suburban" (which is actually a Tahoe) apparently didn't see them and crashed into them. Now, unless the (let's just call it a SUV)ran a red light, those turning left would be at fault for failing to see clear before turning into a direct lane of traffic.

    It's not a Suburban...it's a Tahoe.
