Troops reminded of rules ahead of Trump rally
In the days leading up to an anticipated appearance in Fayetteville by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, leaders at Fort Bragg reminded their troops of limits on their right to participate.
Posted — UpdatedTrump is scheduled to speak Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Crown Center Coliseum. The doors there open at 4 p.m.
Fort Bragg spokeswoman Christina Douglas says while soldiers can have bumper stickers on their personal vehicles, troops living on base may not have yard signs or other political signs on their homes.
Douglas says those who identify themselves on social media as Defense Department employees must also state in political postings that their views are theirs alone and not those of the department.
