Fort Bragg soldier found dead at Sanford home, officials say

Sanford, N.C. — Authorities on Wednesday said they are investigating the death of a Fort Bragg soldier who was found shot on Sunday in his Sanford home.
Capt. Benjamin Blaylock, 39, of Spanish Fork, Utah, was pronounced dead on Sunday, according to Fort Bragg officials. Blaylock was a human resource officer with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the shooting.
Blaylock joined the Army in 2010, and he was assigned to the 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Bragg in December 2015. He is survived by his wife, two children, mother and father.
