Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities on Tuesday arrested a Fort Bragg soldier in connection with the rape of a 22-year-old woman.
Donald William Bleyl, 37, of Sanford, faces second-degree forcible rape charges for an incident that occurred on Sept. 22 at a Fayetteville night club.
According to investigators, the woman was physically and mentally unable to resist or consent to the act due to extreme intoxication. Bleyl could face additional charges in the incident, the sheriff's said.
He was in the Cumberland County jail Wednesday under a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to make his first court appearance at 2:30 p.m.
