Fort Bragg soldier charged in shooting death

— A Fort Bragg soldier has been arrested in the shooting death of a Fayetteville man found in a front yard Wednesday night.

Daniel Anthony Neigel, 24, of A. Co. 1/325 PIR, Ft. Bragg, was charged Thursday evening with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Kenan Tuncay Henyard, 23, of 830 Egypt Drive.

Police found Henyard lying in the yard of a residence at 224 Brewster St. A preliminary investigation determined that he died as a result of a gunshot wound following a confrontation.

Investigators have not released any additional details about the case.

Niegel received a $50,000 unsecured bond and was released into the custody of Fort Bragg military police.

    Maybe you should refrain from making comments about Sgt. Neigel until you know the whole story! Once the investigators release the details of the case, then you will know that Sgt. Neigel is NOT "another soldier gone mad or to the dark side" as you stated!!!

    Another soldier gone mad or to the dark side. We already know his defense. Insane due to disorder syndrome or whatever it is called. He still needs to do time. Maybe even life in jail.

    It says he was released to Ft. Bragg...I bet that is why it is an unsecured bond.

    Now wait a minute! This guy is accused of murdering somebody and is given a $50,000 Unsecured bond, something is wrong with that picture.
