Former volleyball coach indicted on indecent liberties charges

A grand jury indicted John Peter Skatrud Tuesday on two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of indecent liberties with a student.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A  grand jury indicted John Peter Skatrud Tuesday on two counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of indecent liberties with a student.

Skatrud coached at North Carolina State University from March 2, 2001, to Jan. 15, 2004, and more recently for the Capital City Volleyball Club. At the time of his arrest last month, he was working as a physical education teacher at Yates Mill Pond Elementary School.
