Former program director at WRAL-FM named to Country Radio Hall of Fame

A Holly Springs man is in the 2017 class of the Country Radio Hall of Fame.

Joe Wade Formicola, a native of Detroit, was the program director of WRAL-FM from 1999 to 2006. He was the 1988 Country Music Association Personality of the Year while working in the mornings at WWWW in Detroit.

Formicola will be inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in a June ceremony in Nasvhville.
