Former manager accused of setting bank bag on fire

— A former manager of a Raleigh fast-food restaurant is facing charges that he fried up more than burgers.

Earnest Sennet, 34, is accused of setting fire to a bank bag belonging to the Cook Out restaurant on Western Boulevard.

Police charged that he did it to hide his having stolen more than $5,000 from the bag he was supposed to deposit in the bank.

    As times get harder there have been more of these kinds of stories of otherwise law abiding people taking desperate, foolishly misguided risks to make ends meet.
    This is very out of character for this decent young man. It may sound funny for you make jokes about but it is really just sad.
