Damien Demont Jacobs, 26, of 48 Mary's Way in Franklinton, had held positions ranging from youth camp counselor to bus driver to cafeteria employee to teacher's assistant, a schools spokesman said. He was employed part-time by the district beginning in July 2005 and full-time from August 2010 until his resignation in May.

Jacobs was charged with two counts of statutory rape and five counts of a sexual act with a student by a school employee.

He was being held under a $125,000 bond. No other information was released.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Detective A.R. Roberts at 919-340-4312.

Are you using the same math that all of America uses? 2005, was 10 years ago. It is still only 2015 right? I didn't fall asleep for a few years? If he is 26 in 2015, then we subtract 10, how does that come to a total of 12?

Weird cause this guy would have been 12 in 2005, when he allegedly started working there....

I am. I'm surprised it took 26 years, to earn a trip to prison. People like this, do not begin their crime sprees at 26. He has most likely performed several illegal acts before now. I am also surprised that some stupid judge set his bail so low, with 7 counts against him.
