Former Domino's driver pleads guilty in manager's death
A former Knightdale Domino's Pizza driver pleaded guilty Friday for his role in the beating death of the store's assistant manager three years ago.

Nicho D'Angelo Bowers, 23, was sentenced to at least 18 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to accessory charges in the death of Kenny Ring.
Ring, 24, was attacked during a Jan. 9, 2010, robbery at the Domino's Pizza store on Widewaters Parkway in Knightdale, where he worked. He died two days later.
Bowers was initially charged with first-degree murder and accessory after the fact to murder in the case. He was indicted earlier this month on more charges, including two counts of obstruction of justice and one count each of accessory after the fact to assault and accessory after the fact to robbery.
Another man, Travis Melton Sherman, 23, was convicted in August of first-degree murder for the crime and is serving a life sentence in prison, without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors said during Sherman's trial that Sherman robbed the Domino's store, stealing more than $1,000, and attacked Ring while Bowers – a delivery driver and close friend to Sherman – was making the last delivery of the night.
When Bowers returned, he called 911, reporting that Ring had been attacked.
