Raleigh, N.C. — Where to find your favorite food trucks this weekend.
Salvation Army Block Party
This Saturday, the Salvation Army will have a block party to congratulate competitors in the MOST Amazing Race. The Block Party will have family activities and food trucks Bandido’s, Heavenly Smoke, JAM Ice Cream, Mac-UR-Roni and Sweet Stacey Cakes. The party takes place from noon to 3 p.m. at 902 S. Wake Forest Road.
CHEF showing at Koka Booth
On Friday night, head to Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary for a showing of the film Chef, which stars Jon Favreau as a man starting a food truck business. Before the film, enjoy cuisine from local trucks.
Trucks for Duke Homestead
On Sunday, head to the historic Duke Homestead for a food truck sampling event. On site, there are 15 trucks serving small plates with live music playing. The event is a ticketed event, but the proceeds support the historic site. The event is 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
New Food Truck Highlight
On Monday, a new food truck Hans’ Fully Loaded Fritters had its soft opening. The menu serves a variety of fritters stuffed with savory items, like blue crab and chicken, to sweet like bananas.
