Food truck news: Gussy's Place opens

DURHAM, N.C. — The Triangle’s popular and fan favorite food truck, Gussy’s, opens its brick and mortar restaurant, Gussy’s Place today (Tuesday). For Tuesday only, the restaurant will be open until 8 p.m. to give friends and family a chance to visit.  After Tuesday, the restaurant will be open for lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The restaurant is located at 2945-122 Miami Blvd in Durham.
Where to find food trucks this weekend:
Knightdale’s Farmers Market will have a grand opening from 2 to 6 p.m.Saturday. Before the market opens, there will be a food truck rodeo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chirba Chirba, Kona Ice, We Bea Grillin’, BulKogi, Rolling Bistro, Cocoa Forte, Bam Pow Chow and Taco Grande are participating.
Brews and Blues Festival will have food trucks on hand for their Blues and Beers event. The event is a ticket event, which will support local Durham charities. The event is at Durham Central Park on Saturday, May 30th from 4 to 9 pm.
919 Music Fest will take place Sunday with music, food trucks and lots of activities for families. Food trucks scheduled are Porchetta, Stoke and Smoke BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, Kona Ice, Stuft, Hibachi Xpress, Rolling Dogs, King’s Authentic Philly Cheesesteaks, Belgian Waffology. Chirba Chirba, Sarge’s and Bo’s Kitchen. The free event runs form 11 a.m .to 7 p.m. at 8501 Glenwood Ave.
