Durham food truck rodeo
RALEIGH, N.C. — Find your favorite food trucks at these events this week:
Big Mike’s BBQ opening a second Brew N Que location
Since Big Mike’s food truck and its first brick-and-mortar Brew N Que location in Cary was a success, the owner is opening a second restaurant in Apex’s Beaver Creek shopping center in the old Amedeo’s location (the Amadeo's on Western Boulevard will remain open). The food truck and restaurant are known for both traditional BBQ and unique twists like Redneck Nachos, Piggy Mac and The Big Cheesy.
Big Boss’ annual Harvest Party
On Thursday, Big Boss will celebrate their annual Harvest Party starting at 5 p.m. The event will feature a pumpkin carving contest, a band and food trucks The Wandering Moose, Chirba Chirba and Cocoa Forte. Don't forget to wear your Halloween costume.
Philly Cheesesteaks food truck parks at Gizmo
Gizmo Brew Works usually has a great party this time of year. On Saturday, stop by the bar for King’s Authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and music from The Forgotten Man.
Dia de los Muertos
Neuse River Brewing celebrates Dia de los Muertos on Saturday. This all-day festival includes Pershing Street Market (a craft market on Pershing Street), Brachi – Le Petit Roll and Las Gringas food trucks, live music and special beer releases.
Food truck rodeo in Durham
Another Halloween tradition is the last Durham Central Park Rodeo. This Sunday, over 40 food trucks park in Durham near Foster and Hunt for food, craft beer, cider and live music.
