Food Lion Gold Medal Promo = great deal on Powerade!

The Gold Medal Savings promotion taking place at Food Lion right now is offering some super savings on Powerade! Here's how it works:

Buy 10 participating products and get $5 off instantly or buy 15 participating products and get $10 off instantly.

Offer valid 2/5 - 2/25/14. All products must be purchased in the same trip. Maximum $10 reward per shopping trip. There is no limit in the ad on the number of trips you can do.

There are a number of participating products including Coke, Powerade, Kellogg's cereals, Eggo waffles, Jif, multple P&G bath and beauty products and more. There is a long list in the ad and the items are marked in the store with a Gold Medal savings tag.

Powerade, 32 oz., is on sale for .89 this week.

Buy 15 and the total is $13.35

Even if you already printed and used the coupons at Harris Teeter to get them free the last couple weeks, the total is 15 bottles for $3.35 (.22 each) - still a very good deal for these.

This morning I bought a combination of Powerade, Pillsbury brownies and Coke Zero and paid $4.71 for 15 items (with no coupons).  That's .31 per item - a very good deal.  Make sure the discount comes off correctly. Only $5 came off automatically. They had to manually deduct the other $5.
