Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons.

They have no limits on number of total number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad. You may only use a maximum of 10 (ten) coupons for the same item per customer. This includes coupons that are downloaded onto your personal MVP Card.

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed per the Food Lion coupon policy.

You can see their entire coupon policy on their website HERE.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on FoodLion.com.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with paper manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Quality Guarantee: Food Lion offers a double money back quality guarantee on all Food Lion store brands.

    Faye, Labs, JDouglas13 - You're very welcome!

    JDouglas13- I'm with you on the chuck roast plans. Looking forward to applying my quarter-back coupons toward this meat deal!

  • jdouglas13 Sep 28, 12:05 p.m.

    And, meant to add, that I'm really liking the deal on chuck roast too. They are great for custom cut (DIY) stew meat for stew, soup, stroganoff, etc. Sometimes the precut stew meat is cut so small that it disintegrates if it's cooked for a long time. I will definitely be stocking up for the freezer!

    Huge FL ad this week! Thanks Faye. That must have take forever!

    EM2S, thanks for the heads up on the canned tomatoes, baking soda, and coconut -- all items I will be making a trip for. :)

    Em2s - Great additional deals! Thank you for posting them!

    Nanee Lion - thanks for the heads up on the typo. Just changed it. :-)

    Thanks Faye and Em2s,
    Looks like lots of affordable, healthy choices this week.

  • Em2s Sep 28, 12:31 a.m.

    Thanks for the FL deals list for this new week, Faye! It's great to have the $.25 back special continue. Combining the quarter back special with FL's digital coupon $.50/2 on any FL canned tomatoes makes for great price of 2 cans for $.25 ea.

    Also, I found some decent prices on baking and frozen items that we needed such as:
    baking soda 16 oz $.57 - .25 = .32;
    mini marshmallows 10.5 oz $.72 - .25 = .47;
    flaked coconut 7 oz $1 - .25 = .75;
    beef broth 14.5 oz 2/$1 - $. 25 ea = 2/ $.50;
    frozen cut okra (unbreaded) 16oz $1 - .25 = .75 and
    frozen brussel sprouts 16oz $1 - .25 = .75 .

    Plus, the kiosk dispensed a coupon for $1 off $5 or more produce. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with final receipt savings of 40% (1/3 of purchase was frozen veggies, 1/3 fresh produce, 1/3 canned & dry goods). Wishing lots of savings to you and my fellow SmartShoppers!

    Faye, wouldn't the bounty paper towels be $4.99 with the kiosk coupon?
