Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons.

They have no limits on number of total number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad. You may only use a maximum of 10 (ten) coupons for the same item per customer. This includes coupons that are downloaded onto your personal MVP Card.

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed per the Food Lion coupon policy.

You can see their entire coupon policy on their website HERE.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on FoodLion.com.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with paper manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Quality Guarantee: Food Lion offers a double money back quality guarantee on all Food Lion store brands.

FYI - The 1-800# is not working right now to have them manually add the gift cards because the online form is not working at all. I have spoken with 2 FL CSR's today and I am on hold now while they try to figure out how they can get me through to the gift card center. When you call, the error message indicates that the number has been disconnected and is no longer working.

They finally transferred me over to the voice mail for one of the people in the gift card dept who is supposed to call me Friday morning to help reload the card. Guess we'll see. Apparently they are too overloaded and unable to handle the call volume.

    Anyone else get through today?

Em2s , when I called the 1-800 I was told that they have to add the visa card amount to my FL gift card, so I have been calling them each time I did a deal and so far, so good. Sorry you had that problem, seems like such a waste but someone should be able to check and see that you did not use the money you earned. Hope you can get someone to make this better for you.

I'm bummed...bought participating products and received my Catalina voucher at checkout. I logged on, claimed my $10 digital VISA card, printed the particulars for reference, then could not access the Food Lion gift card reloading link or the url when typed out. The message read something like: Sorry! ... [link] no longer available. Subsequent attempts to reload to my existing FL gift card were problematic. I eventually progressed to the point of entering the $10 digital VISA card detail. An email confirmed my use of the $10 VISA digital card. However when I check my FL gift card, the $10 still is not added to the gift card. Voice to voice follow up resulted in a reminder that once the digital code was 'used,' it could not be reset or accessed - basically by anyone. Sure enough, reading through the Terms and Conditions confirmed this response. Guess it's a good thing I only made one Promo purchase instead of multiples. Did anyone else encounter difficulties?

Thanks for the explanation, Faye! I think I might just tag along with you on your next visit to FL. :)

I just max out my 10 code limit and was happy, I have 25 bottles of peanut butter, 10 spaghetti sauce, and some Smucker jelly, This promotion was very helpful along with SD all the stuff that I got from sd and food lion goes to my box package to send back home for my family in the Philippines.

I did the FL gift card this year. Last year the cats were not printed at my store and it was a nightmare. this year it has been great. I have 3 deals and have another to load from today. This is a great way to get free or almost free food. We are well stocked with peanut butter, which my hubby loves and so do I. Good luck JDoughlas

jdouglas13 - You buy a gift card at food lion worth $5 or $10 bucks. Then you buy 5 participating items from the promo. You can pay for them with the gift card you just bought. Then you get a print out at the register with a code. You go to the link I provided in the post and enter the code (foodlion.com/champions). Then enter your MVP number. Then you can go online to purchase stuff anywhere Visa Debit is accepted (like Amazon) or you can go to the Food lion website and use the card you bought earlier to load $10 on to it and pay for the $10 with the Visa debit you just got (https://apps.foodlion.com/giftcard/recharge.aspx). Then the $10 will be loaded to your Food Lion gift card the next day and you can go back to the store, buy 5 more items, pay with the $10 food lion gift card that will have $10 loaded on to it and then you will get another code to enter and load to the same food lion gift card. Does that make sense? :-)

So I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around this digital promo and the GC combo. If I buy a GC in one transaction, can I then do the promo in the next? And then do what exactly to get the promo on the GC?
