Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of total number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad. You may only use a maximum of 10 (ten) coupons for the same item per customer. This includes coupons that are downloaded onto your personal MVP Card.

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed per the Food Lion coupon policy.

You can see their entire coupon policy on their website HERE.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Quality Guarantee: Food Lion offers a double money back quality guarantee on all Food Lion store brands.

Live2save - sorry about that - I did not realize it was Food Lion you got it from. They are an Ibotta Preferred Partner and there is no receipt upload necessary. All the stores with the pink asterisk on their website store list are receipt-free. Other stores in our area that are receipt free include Just Save and Lowes Foods. You can see the list here:

My fiance knows I love the Naked juices and decided to surprise me when I got home from work.

  • live2coupon2save Jul 22, 2014

Thanks guys. JTLNSW, that's why I was so confused because I've just always uploaded my receipt, I've also really only used ibotta with HT. So, that was new for me.
Buckjjj, hopefully they just credit my account since I verified it and it checked out.

Sounds like SavingsStar. Then I guess your work is done Live2coupon2save. I've never redeemed with Food lion on Ibotta. I'm just used to the "verify item/scan receipt" with HT and others.

  • BuckJJJ Jul 22, 2014

Last weekend I bought an item at Food Lion and didn't have to send a receipt. it just credited my account and I'm not sure how because I don't remember putting my MVP card number anywhere in Ibotta. So maybe you don't need to scan the receipt. Mine credited the next day.

I think I've figured it out. It appears to be that you can now only use you rewards card with the following stores:
    Just save
    Lowes foods
    Food lion
These 4 stores have a card beside them in the store list. And the rest of the stores has a camera next to them.

It has the verify symbol at the top and I clicked on it and verified the item, it says that it checked out as right, now, it's not giving me the option to upload a copy of my receipt. So, I clicked on "redeem" at the bottom. When I clicked on it, it took me to my store card (food lion) bar code.

  • jtlnsw Jul 22, 2014

Do you see the "verify" highlighted at the bottom after you've scanned the barcode?
