Posted February 19, 2014

Food Lion has some good buys starting Wednesday, 2/19 including green onions, tomatoes, whole chickens, pork ribs, 7UP & more. Please share any other deals you find.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed per the Food Lion coupon policy.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Quality Guarantee: Food Lion offers a double money back quality guarantee on all Food Lion store brands.

Olympics Gold Medal promotion: The Gold Medal Savings promotion is continuing at Food Lion this week.  Here's how the promotion works:

csilver910 , Powerades are $1.39 this week. I got a rain check last week and was able to grab some this morning at the $.89 sale price.

  • beadhive Feb 19, 2014

I saw a big bin of them at the Food Lion off Davis Drive.

csilver910 - most FL stores are struggling to get any Powerade stock. Mine has 2 bottles left in the entire store yesterday and the mgr said they would hear from the rep today to see if they were getting any more in during the promo. You may want to call your FL before heading over there to see if they even have any. Not sure of price today., It was not in the ad.

Don't know if that item carried over into this week, it doesn't show in the new ad but most stores don't show a sale item from the week before even if it's carried over. You could call your Food Lion and ask them to check for you.
