Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of total number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad. You may only use a maximum of 10 (ten) coupons for the same item per customer. This includes coupons that are downloaded onto your personal MVP Card.

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed per the Food Lion coupon policy.

You can see their entire coupon policy on their website HERE.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Quality Guarantee: Food Lion offers a double money back quality guarantee on all Food Lion store brands.

$20 Holiday Promotion: Spend $40 for 6 out of the next 8 weeks. Collect the tickets each week after checking out from 10/1 – 11/25. Redeem 6 tickets for a $20 coupon. There are exclusions including alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery, postage stamps and services. $40 purchase is after all discounts are applied.

BPARRISH004, I'm glad to hear how it works. I never really asked at my local FL. I just thought it odd that the employees were trying to have me take the box with me. At any rate, its something small that anyone can do to help. I hope others will consider it!

HAPPYGIRL08 - We have a local food bank in our community & we are a member partner of the Food Bank of NC. Through one of their programs, we are assigned a local Food Lion where we go 4 days per week and pickup food donations. When we do those food pickups we have to ask Food Lion if there are any America Food Boxes for pickup, if so, we collect them and bring them back to our food pantry and distribute them. Hope that helps you know that your box does get distributed at a food pantry and THANK YOU & others that purchase the food boxes. Our food pantry just celebrated our 2 yr. anniversary in Oct. & we have served over 792 different families. The need is great . . . Thank you again!

Got myself a 12lb turkey for under 6.00. That's nice. :-) I will save it for Christmas but still, its not like it won't last! Curious though about the feeding America food boxes. I purchased one and asked where they went after they were purchased. Two different employees tried to tell me "we keep them" this year. That makes no sense. I finally managed to convey that in a nice way and then they decided oh yes, I could leave them there after all? Anyone else run into this?
